Terms of sale and privacy
The plain-English terms for buying from and selling to NEAR9. Last updated November 2026.
Who we are
NEAR9 is run by Connor Neary, trading as NEAR9, . You can reach us by email at our email address, by phone or WhatsApp on our number.
These terms apply whenever you buy a watch from us, whether through this website, WhatsApp, email, phone or in person. They don't affect your legal rights as a consumer.
Prices and payment
- Prices are in pounds sterling and include UK delivery.
- You can pay by card through Stripe's secure checkout or by bank transfer. We never see your card details.
- A watch is sold once we've received full payment. If you pay a deposit to reserve a watch, we'll agree with you in writing how long we hold it and whether the deposit is refundable.
- We only ever send bank details directly from our own number or email address. If you're unsure whether a message is from us, call us before paying.
Delivery
- UK delivery is free, insured for the full value and signed for. We send your watch once payment has cleared.
- You can collect in Belfast by appointment instead.
- For delivery outside the UK, ask us first. Import duties and taxes are paid by the buyer.
- The watch is our responsibility until it's delivered to you.
Returns: 14 days to change your mind
- You can cancel for any reason within 14 days of the day the watch is delivered. Tell us by email or WhatsApp.
- Send the watch back within 14 days of telling us, in the condition you received it, with its box, papers, tags and anything else it came with.
- Return postage is paid by you. Please use an insured, tracked service that covers the watch's full value, as it stays your responsibility until it reaches us.
- We refund the full price within 14 days of getting the watch back, using the method you paid with.
- We may reduce the refund if the watch has been handled more than you'd need to inspect it, for example worn, resized, scratched, or with protective stickers removed.
If something's wrong
Every watch is pre-owned and described as accurately as we can, including its condition, service history if known, and whether it comes with box and papers. Normal signs of wear that match the description aren't a fault.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, a watch must be as described, of satisfactory quality for its age and condition, and fit for purpose. If it isn't, you can reject it for a full refund within 30 days of delivery, and after that you're entitled to a repair or a refund. Contact us first and we'll put it right.
Authenticity guarantee
We check every watch against its reference, serial number and papers before listing it. If a watch we sold you is ever shown not to be genuine, we'll refund you in full.
Selling us your watch
- You must own the watch and be entitled to sell it. It must not be stolen, on finance or subject to any claim.
- We'll ask to see photo ID and we may check the watch against stolen-watch registers.
- Any offer depends on the watch matching its description once we've checked it in person. We pay by bank transfer, never in cash.
